Costa Rica

Puerto LimonAs a small piece of territory linking the North and South American continents, Costa Rica is considered to be in Central America. Costa Rica shares borders with Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. It is also bounded to the west by the Pacific Ocean and to the east by the Caribbean Sea. This country has magnificent volcanoes, lovely cloud forests, stunning river basins, and numerous beaches along its Pacific and Caribbean coasts. Puerto Limon, Cahuita, Puerto Viejo, and Manzanillo are all in Costa Rica’s Caribbean region, famed for its beaches and Afro-Caribbean culture. Popular destinations in the region include coral reefs, beaches with various colors of sand (yellow, gray, and black), and trees at both sea level and a modest altitude. Puerto Limon, the capital of Limon Province, is a hive of activity with a good blend of tourism and culture.

Everything Costa Rica has to offer, from ziplining to river tours, fantastic food to amazing beaches, and everything in between, can be found across the Limon Province. A trip through Cahuita National Park will expose you to some of Costa Rica’s best wildlife. The Veragua Rainforest Park’s hiking trails are rich in species, including frogs, butterflies, monkeys, and, of course, sloths. The Tortuguero Canals, often known as Costa Rica’s Amazon, are a veritable maze of waterways that stretch down Costa Rica’s coast. Take a zipline and canopy tour to get a closer look at the jungle that surrounds the Tortuguero Canal. The name, Playa Bonita, or “Beautiful Beach,” should be enough to entice you to visit this magnificent beach. They are situated in a small inlet that provides excellent surfing, beach relaxation, and sand play. Cahuita, Playa Bonita, Playa Cieneguita, and other beaches surrounding Puerto Limon provide fantastic snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities where you may see gorgeous coral reefs, amazing fish, and other wildlife.
