Bonaire National Marine Park protects its reef-lined coast. Aside from its abundant marine life, the island is home to lizards, donkeys, and birds inside the vast Washington Slagbaai National Park, which features beaches, lagoons, tunnels, and desert-like hills. There are around 60 coral species on the reefs, however, and they vary depending on habitat.
