Santo Tomas de Castilla, also known as Matias de Galvez is a modern port in Guatemala, located just to the southwest of Puerto Barrios, at Amatique Bay off the Gulf of Honduras. Santo Tomas de Castilla only recently began receiving cruise ships. The cruise ship terminal is a tremendous boost for the Guatemalan tourism industry.
