CocoCay, Bahamas, is Royal Caribbean’s private island used as a stopover on Caribbean cruises from Florida. It is located approximately 55 miles north of Nassau. The island was originally called Little Stirrup Cay. After Royal Caribbean took over the lease on the island, it was renamed Coco Cay. The color of the sea is indescribable, it is calm, no waves and the water is warm and clear. CoccoCay features all kinds of activities, snorkeling, kayaking, boating, jet-ski rentals, an aqua park, plus nature walks, beaches and plenty of spots to relax and recharge. The only way to visit CocoCay is through one of the cruises offered by the company. Because the ships are able to dock right next to the island, there is no requirement that passengers take a tender to get there.
