Cruises to Colombia from Florida

Visiting some of the destinations on the Colombian Caribbean coast is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The best way to do this is by planning a cruise from one of the many Florida ports.

Florida, known as “The Sunshine State,” is also a top-ranked holiday destination in its own right. With so much to do in Florida, it’s worth spending a few days there before or after your cruise. As a sun, sea, and sand location, Florida attracts all kinds of travelers, from partygoers to retirees, nature lovers, thrill seekers, and even foodies, not to mention beachgoers and water sports enthusiasts. Explore some of Florida’s busy, modern cities, quiet beach towns, and beautiful natural areas.

If you’re thinking about taking a cruise out of Florida with a visit to the Colombian Caribbean coast, you have four ports to choose from: Miami, Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Tampa, and Port Canaveral (Orlando). Whichever departure port you choose on your journey from Florida to the Colombian Caribbean coast, with multiple stops in all kinds of different ports, you’ll be greeted by sandy white beaches, tropical weather, lush green landscapes, and colorful cultures.

So, if you want a vacation that is both exciting and restful, with a layover in Colombia, choose one of the cruises that depart out of Florida.

Colombia

Colombia is gradually becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in South America. Despite decades of conflict and cartels, Colombia has become a refuge for digital nomads and low-cost travelers in recent years. Colombia’s Caribbean coast is home to eight departments, each with its own distinct culture, history, and breathtaking scenery. If you have booked a Caribbean or Panama Canal cruise that includes Cartagena on the itinerary, you are in for a great treat, as this magnificent ancient town and resort on Colombia’s Caribbean coast is, quite rightly, the country’s most popular tourist destination. Despite lacking some of the tourism infrastructure that Cartagena, further south along the coast, offers, Santa Marta has warm and clean beaches, many of which are located in Tayrona or Tairona Park. San Andres is also a popular vacation destination due to its beautiful beaches, which have white sand, red corals, and water in seven unique shades of blue due to the island’s high level of transparency.

Cartagena

Cartagena is the capital of Colombia’s Bolivar region and is located on the Caribbean Sea’s coast in northern Colombia. Cartagena de Indias, framed by its breathtaking harbor, is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved cities in the Americas. Cartagena[…]
